CURA was created through the unification of Mountain Plains and Pathways, two foster care agencies with decades of shared values and deep community roots. By coming together, we’ve built a stronger, more coordinated network that offers more consistent support for caregivers, greater stability for children and youth, and expanded access to resources. This means quality matches, better outcomes, and more loving homes, because every child deserves to grow up surrounded by care, connection, and possibility.

CURA events are where connection, culture, and care come to life. From family picnics and holiday socials to caregiver appreciation nights and reflection circles, we create space for support and celebration.
We’re honoured to host Indigenous cultural gatherings like Community Fires, Medicine Picking, and Feasts with Pipe Ceremonies in collaboration with Cultural Advisors and Knowledge Keepers. Our training and support programs, including Foster Care Orientation and Learning Circles, ensure caregivers are confident, connected, and never alone.
